Haven't posted here in a L O N G time. I suppose the BeOS community has shrunk quite a bit. Looking back at some of my old posts (heheh) brings a smile to my face - I was so cocky.
Then I think back to when BeOS was thriving, when BeOS was dying, when the source code was stolen and released, and then when a settlement was won and my own conversations with JLG by e-mail (a funny guy). I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, like pulling out that 8-bit Nintendo, or ooohing and ahhhing like when I first saw the Amiga, or when I saw the IBMs of the old days get butchered by the Commodore 64s/128s/128Ds.
But, that's not to say BeOS is dead or has been relegated to the realm of nostalgia. My computer is dead (hard drive crashed recently)

, but I will return to BeOS some day, and I know as a programmer I will be needed.
I'm almost to the point of doing some volunteer work for/under BeOS. The last thing I was working on was a UDF driver. I got a lot of work towards it done, but someone else beat me to a release, so I scrapped it. I may go back to continuing development just to present an alternative.
When I'm ready to volunteer some of my time, I'll be sure to let the important ones know. As it is, I'm building a house right now, but that should be done soon.
Anyway, there wasn't really much of a point to this posting, other than to say that I'm going to be devoting my attention to BeOS soon...
